Keren Ann Zeidel, 10 March 1974, Caesarea, Israel. Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ann enjoyed notable success at the start of the new millennium in her adopted homeland of France, before crossing over to the North American market with her second English language release, 2004’s Nolita. Her languid vocals and atmospheric neo-folk style has garnered comparisons to contemporary female artists including Beth Orton, Lisa Germano and Dido.

Ann was raised in Israel, the Netherlands and France, later basing herself in Paris where she formed the Keren Ann Band (KAB). She played with this group for three years before joining the all-female trio Shelby. After releasing one album with Shelby she launched her solo career in 2000 with the major label release La Biographie De Luka Philipsen.
