Founded in 2000 by Marco Fasolo (1982, Padova, Italy; guitar/vocals, ex-Carcers) and Alessio Gastaldello (b. 1975, Padova, Italy; drums) this inventive duo frequently nodded to the equally sinister and jaunty psychedelia of Syd Barrett -era Pink Floyd, and took their name from the second verse of Barretts celebrated 1967 composition Lucifer Sam. After a year working as an ice-cream seller in Berlin, Germany, Fasolo returned to Padova where the project was conceived. By 2002 Fasolo and Gastaldello had recorded two lo-fi albums in their basement, a modest recording facility dubbed Ectoplasmic Studios where they drew on production techniques of the legendary Joe Meek. Both sets were released on their own label Silly Boy Entertainment, receiving minor praise from worldwide sources and this publicity led to live dates supporting the equally eccentric Japanese leader of Acid Mothers Temple, Kawabata Makoto.
