Biography
1 January 1973, Syosset, New York, USA. Singer-songwriter Mead moved with his parents to Nashville at an early age. He joined his first band in 1989, and in the following decade moved around the country in the service of various pop groups, most notably the quirky Nashville-based pop rock act Joe, Marcs Brother. After leaving the latter in 1998, Mead recorded a solo demo that eventually earned him a major label recording contract with RCA Records. He worked on his debut album with keyboard player Jason Lehning and producer Peter Collins. Tracks such as Robert Bradleys Postcard and World Of A King exhibited a sure grasp of the rudiments of US power pop, while Sweet Sunshine was reminiscent of Squeeze in their early 80s prime.
