Biography
Athena Andreadis, c. 1979, London, England. As a young child, Andreadis heard many genres of music on records, ranging through pop to classical, show tunes to traditional Greek songs, and began to sing and later play piano. Her parents took her to live in their homeland but after a few years in Thessaloniki, Greece, she returned to England to pursue her education. While reading for a degree in business studies at Bath University, she developed her existing interest in music. A six-month work experience visit to the USA allowed her to study at the Juilliard School of Music. On her return to the UK, she took a post-graduate degree at Londons Trinity College of Music. Following this, Andreadis sang in and around London, gradually developing a style that is based on Greek music but embraces concepts from many lands.
