Christian Ward, 9 September 1985, Chicago, Illinois, USA. This US rapper enjoyed his first taste of the music business when he signed a contract with DMXs Bloodline Records label at the age of 15. Ward relocated to New York to begin work on tracks but his nascent career was cut short when his disapproving parents ordered him back to Chicago and then placed him in military school. He returned to music in his late teens with a new outlook on life, taking a job as female rapper Shawnnas hype man and, with the experience gained in dealing with the industry at first hand, launched his own Yung Boss imprint in 2005. The budding entrepreneur still harboured a desire to make his own music, however, and signed a solo recording contract with Epic Records. The Almost Famous EP was released in summer 2007, with the stand-out track Sexy Lady climbing the US charts to reach the Top 20 later in the year. The album, Look What You Made Me, covered the usual territory of any modern rap collection, with the preponderance of guest artists hinting at a talent not fully formed.
