US vocal trio Priscilla (1945, d. 5 March 2004, Paris, France), Albeth and Sherrell Paris began their long recording career in 1954, but did not achieve chart success until the following decade when they joined Gregmark, a short-lived label co-owned by Lee Hazlewood. The trio completed five singles for the outlet, each of which was produced by Phil Spector. Although ‘I Love How You Love Me’ reached number 5 in the US chart in 1961, other releases in the same feather-light style failed to emulate its success. The sisters nonetheless enjoyed a prolific career, latterly abandoning their conservative image with several excellent recordings under the aegis of Spector’s arranger Jack Nitzsche, and a superb rendition of ‘Greener Days’, composed by David Gates.

Priscilla, the undoubted focal point of the trio, embarked on a solo career in 1967, but although her excellent debut, ‘He Noticed Me’ augured well for the future, ensuing releases were less assured. She nonetheless completed three contrasting albums and in 1974 re-recorded ‘I Love How You Love Me’ with the British Chinn And Chapman production team.
