Justin Hayward Biography
David Justin Hayward, 14 October 1946, Swindon, Wiltshire, England. As singer and guitarist with the Moody Blues, Hayward was responsible for 1967s international hit Nights In White Satin which has since been elevated to classic status. He has subsequently pursued solo work while the parent group has been in occasional temporary retirement. After the first break-up of the Moody Blues, Hayward teamed up with fellow Moodys songwriter John Lodge as the Blue Jays between December 1974 and January 1977. During this period they achieved a UK Top 10 hit with Blue Guitar (1975). Haywards most successful solo offering, Forever Autumn, reached the UK Top 5 and was taken from Jeff Waynes 1978 bestselling concept album, The War Of The Worlds.
