Fifth Angel Biography
Formed in Seattle, Washington, USA, in 1985, Fifth Angel comprised Ted Pilot (vocals), Kendall Bechtel (guitar), Ed Archer (guitar), John Macko (bass) and Ken Mary (drums). On the back of promising club dates they came to the attention of Mike Varney, who signed them to his Shrapnel label. A self-titled debut album backed up with touring commitments won them many fans and brought them to the attention of Epic Records, who had the album remixed and reissued in 1988. Time Will Tell sold well but the band were unable to live up to expectations and they broke up later that year, with only drummer Mary going on to a degree of success with the Alice Cooper Band and House Of Lords.
