Divine Biography
This female R&B vocal trio enjoyed immediate success when their 1998 debut, "Lately", rose to the top of the US singles charts barely weeks after the members had graduated from high school. Nikki Bratcher (10 August 1980, Newark, New Jersey, USA), Kia Thornton (b. 15 July 1981, Inglewood, New Jersey, USA), Tonia Tash (b. 3 July 1979, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA) were brought together in 1995 by their management team, and were swiftly signed to Pendulum Records. While the trio were in the studio recording their debut album, Pendulum merged with Red Ant Entertainment. The success of "Lately" was not matched by subsequent singles drawn from Fairy Tales, although "One More Try" did break into Top 30 in spring 1999.
