10 August 1982, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. This New York City-based urban singer grew up in the housing projects of Cleveland, gaining her first musical experiences as a member of the vocal group Spoiled. She moved to New York at the end of the 90s where she established a career as a session vocalist on Sean Puffy Combs Bad Boy Entertainment label, notably appearing on releases by Combs, Faith Evans and Ma$e. Her solo debut, Freak, was delayed until 2004, but it was the following years I Love You that broke the singer into the US R&B chart. Guest appearances on tracks by Olivia, Black Rob, Yung Joc, and Danity Kane followed, before Dennis finally released her album debut at the start of 2008. In And Out Of Love steered more towards rap than pop, but even the presence of name producers such as Combs, Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins could not rescue the album from mid-table mediocrity.
